Celebrities Dog Survives Crash that Killed Hollywood Plastic Surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan, inset: Frazer Harrison/Getty If there’s one small bright spot in the news of celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan’s death, it’s that his border collie, Jill, survived the car accident that killed him. According to Ryan’s ex-girlfriend, Charmaine Blake, the doctor was sending a message on Twitter about Jill just moments before he drove off California’s Pacific Coast Highway, crashing into the rocks below. In fact, his very last Tweet was about his precious pup, and included a photo of her “surveying the view from atop” a giant sand dune, just west of Malibu, during a hike that day. “He lived up in Malibu on a tiny street and he was texting while driving and he accidentally went over the cliff,” Blake tells PEOPLE. “People should not text and drive at all.” Though Ryan, 50, died on impact, rescuers managed to help save Jill, who suffered injuries to her head, eye and a paw. Ryan gained fame for his 10-hour procedure on reality starlet Heidi Montag, and performed surgeries on other stars as well, including Gene Simmons.

This is from People magazine, and is more of a Public Service Announcement than anything else.  🙂
